Hope Kent is a PhD student supervised by Professor Huw Williams at the University of Exeter, England. She studies psychology and quantitative methods, and is an Alan Turing Institute Enrichment Scholar.

Her current research aims to understand how neurodisabilities impact children and young people at risk of school exclusion and contact with the criminal justice system.

She is a member of the neurodisability and law enforcement GLEPHA special interest group, and the UKABIF Criminal Justice Acquired Brain Injury Interest Group. She advocates for better recognition and screening of Traumatic Brain Injury in young people in contact with the law.

She is also passionate about improving care for marginalised groups and women in prisons, who are often victims of domestic violence.
