David Wang, MD, MS
David is a board certified primary care sports medicine physician with 25 years of sports medicine experience. His career has encompassed the care of recreational, Olympic, and professional athletes. He currently is the head team physician at Quinnipiac University. He serves as the Clinical Director of Elite Sports Medicine and strives to have Elite Sports Medicine meet the needs of athletes in the state of Connecticut. David sees essentially all sports medicine issues but has been participating in research in areas such as concussion, figure skating injuries, and complicated musculoskeletal conditions. As a former collegiate track athlete David has developed a deep understanding of high-level training and the competitive athlete lifestyle. His medical degree and master’s degree in exercise physiology were obtained at the University of Minnesota where he later served as a team physician for over a decade.
