Kendra Jorgensen-Wagers PHD
Dr. Kendra Jorgensen-Wagers is presently the Senior Clinical Research Director and Regional Program Manager in Europe for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center TBI Program. She was appointed to the position of Rehabilitation Psychologist for the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center TBI Program in 2010. She has also worked extensively in outpatient behavioral health with patients experiencing complex mental health disorders. Dr. Jorgensen-Wagers graduated in 2008 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Counseling. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and rehabilitation counselor. She was a doctoral fellow with the Rehabilitation Services Administration and has a post graduate certificate in Rehabilitation Administration from San Diego State University. She is counselor educator and former Research Associate with the Center for Disability Studies at UT Austin. She is presently appointed as a Assistant Collegiate Professor at the University of Maryland University College. She has over twenty five years of experience helping individuals who have experienced illness or injury, specifically psychiatric disabilities and traumatic brain injury. Her areas of research interest are in rehabilitation health outcomes and salutogenesis for patients with brain injury and post- traumatic stress. Presently she is working on a comprehensive performance improvement and research portfolio at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to include virtual reality eye tracking, health outcomes, pediatric concussion education and interdisciplinary care for military beneficiaries. In addition to her extensive clinical skills, she has taught for many years in the fields of counseling and social work.
