PINK 2: The PINK Concussion Conference at the Palo Alto VA - Female Brain Injury, Neurobiology and Trauma
PINK Concussions organized the a historical first joint military and civilian conference on female brain injury which took place on October 6-7, 2016, and was hosted by the Department of Veterans Affairs at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS).
The PINK 2 brought together civilian, sport and military researchers and clinicians to review research in female brain injury, concussions, and neurobiology including endocrinology and the influence of PTSD. Presenters shared published, as well as “emerging” brain injury research on females of all ages. Research was presented, and then discussed in small breakout groups; and summary reports were presented to the entire conference.
The 2016 PINK Concussions Awards Reception hosted by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
This two-day event was free and all seats were sold out.
